Difficulties within a family rarely affect just one person. Changes in one family member's wellbeing, behaviour or circumstances can influence relationships throughout the family. Families may seek support because of persistent conflict, communication difficulties, changes in family structure, parenting challenges, illness, bereavement, mental health difficulties or concerns about a child or young person.
Our AFSP and UKCP accredited Family Therapists work with families to understand difficulties in the context of relationships and the wider family system. Rather than looking for someone to blame, family therapy explores patterns of interaction, different perspectives and the strengths and resources already present within the family.
The aim is to develop greater understanding, improve communication and help family members find more constructive ways of responding to difficulties together.
Book a free 15-minute consultation if you would like to discuss whether family therapy could be appropriate.
