VOR Health provides organisations with access to psychological therapy, psychiatric assessment and specialist neurodevelopmental pathways through a coordinated clinical service. Our model enables employers, occupational health providers, EAPs and other organisations to access a broader range of specialist mental health services through a single referral pathway. Psychological therapy is delivered directly through VOR Health, with access to selected specialist clinical providers where psychiatric or neurodevelopmental expertise is required.

Rather than requiring organisations to establish and manage separate arrangements with multiple specialist providers, VOR Health provides a coordinated route to the appropriate clinical pathway.

Services available include:

• Psychological Therapy: Evidence-based psychological therapy delivered through VOR Health and tailored to the individual's presenting difficulties and clinical needs.
• Consultant Psychiatry: Access to specialist psychiatric assessment where diagnostic clarification, psychiatric opinion or medical treatment recommendations are required.
• ADHD Assessment and Treatment: Specialist adult ADHD assessment through our psychiatry pathway, with access to psychiatric treatment and medication review where clinically appropriate.
• Autism Assessment: Comprehensive specialist autism assessment through our neurodevelopmental assessment pathway.

A Coordinated Clinical Pathway

Mental health presentations do not always fit neatly within a single treatment pathway. An individual referred for psychological therapy may require further assessment for ADHD, autism or another psychiatric condition. Equally, an individual receiving a neurodevelopmental diagnosis may benefit from subsequent psychological support. VOR Health's coordinated model enables individuals to access appropriate services while providing the referring organisation with a clear point of contact.

Depending upon clinical need and referrer authorisation, a pathway may include:

• Referral → Psychological Assessment → Therapy
• Referral → Psychiatric Assessment → Treatment Recommendations
• Referral → ADHD Assessment → Treatment / Psychological Support
• Referral → Autism Assessment → Psychological Support

Clinical decisions remain based upon the needs of the individual rather than a predetermined pathway.

How the Service Works

One referral pathway. Specialist clinical provision. One point of contact. VOR Health provides a straightforward route into psychological, psychiatric and neurodevelopmental services, helping referring organisations coordinate care without having to manage multiple separate clinical pathways.

1. Refer: The organisation makes a referral to VOR Health through the agreed referral pathway.
2. Identify the appropriate pathway: The referral is reviewed and directed to the appropriate psychological, psychiatric or neurodevelopmental service according to the individual's presenting needs and the services authorised by the referring organisation.
3. Deliver: Psychological therapy is delivered through VOR Health. Where specialist psychiatric or neurodevelopmental expertise is required, the individual can be referred to an appropriate specialist clinical provider.
4. Coordinate: VOR Health provides a central point of contact for the referring organisation and coordinates the wider pathway where multiple services are involved.
5. Invoice: Where agreed as part of the contractual arrangement, VOR Health can provide consolidated invoicing across the pathway, reducing the need for the referring organisation to administer separate payment arrangements with multiple providers.

Specialist Clinical Provision

Where a service requires expertise outside VOR Health's directly delivered psychological provision, assessment or treatment may be undertaken by an external specialist clinical provider. Specialist providers retain appropriate clinical responsibility for the assessment and treatment they deliver, including diagnostic, medical and prescribing decisions where applicable.

VOR Health coordinates the wider pathway and provides the referring organisation with a central operational point of contact.

VOR Health can therefore develop arrangements ranging from individual referrals through to an ongoing outsourced clinical pathway. For organisations making regular referrals, an agreed service can establish referral criteria, clinical pathways, service levels, points of contact, reporting requirements, information governance arrangements and invoicing processes.

Clear Clinical Responsibility

A coordinated pathway maintains clear professional responsibilities across the services involved. Psychological services delivered by VOR Health remain the responsibility of the appropriately qualified VOR Health clinician providing that care. Where an individual is referred to an external specialist provider, that clinician or organisation retains appropriate clinical responsibility for the assessment or treatment they provide, including diagnostic, medical and prescribing decisions where applicable. VOR Health coordinates the wider pathway while maintaining clear boundaries of clinical responsibility between participating services.
